Spotlight: Blind Tiger Pub

Updated: Mar 31, 2019

I often get asked for recommendations on where to eat in Charleston. It is one of the hardest questions to answer, since the food scene in this city is on another level. It is incredibly difficult to go wrong. However, I do still have my go-to favorites. These are the places I have been to time and again, or at least am dying to return to after my first visit. One of those places is the Blind Tiger.

Atmosphere is a big factor for me in a restaurant. That's not to say it has to be fancy, but it has to be *something.* There has to be a clear vibe, whether the divey-est of dives or the classiest fine dining establishment. Blind Tiger's back courtyard is something that could have come out of my dreams. When you first step outside and walk through the faded brick arches, you feel like you have discovered something special - or at least I did.

Plus, there's the food...

The Pub Burger - double patties, white American cheese, bacon jam, and special sauce

Fried Mac & Cheese Bites

Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich with a side of Crispy Brussels

Four Cheese Mac

The Butcher's Board - grilled smoked sausage, pork belly, duck cracklin's

Peanut Butter Pie
